Borland Creek Logging Ltd. (BCL) is owned and operated by the Williams Lake First Nation in Williams Lake, BC. The enterprise is governed by a board of directors who have been appointed by the shareholders. Logging Manager Pat Ferguson works to oversee forestry and logging operations. BCL also provides silviculture activities for the Nation and throughout the region. In addition to the main BCL equipment compound in the community of Sugar Cane, BCL also has an office presence at the Williams Lake First Nation corporate office in downtown Williams Lake.

Established in 1996, the company is equipped as a “full” phase operation and harvests as a roadside and conventional operation. BCL is capable of working on a “stump to dump” basis as required.  The company started out as a small logging contractor and has grown significantly in size; capable of harvesting over 125,000 cubic meters per year.

BCL is registered with Work Safe BC and has been Safe Certified under the BC Forest Safety Council since 2007. Registered under the British Columbia Timber Sales Program, BCL is able to bid on BC Timber Sales.  The Company is dedicated to employing qualified WLFN members and currently employs many members as machine operators, silviculture specialists, and bio-mass technicians.
