Children are the future of WLFN

BC First Nations Head Start in the community of Sugar Cane is a holistic, community-based program designed to enhance early childhood development, school readiness and overall family health and wellness. It is centered around six components: education; health promotion; culture and language; nutrition; social support; and parental/family involvement.

Our goal is to encourage children to develop self- confidence, and a desire to learn. This will help them towards becoming successful individuals. Parents, guardians, and other family members play a large role in a child’s growth. We hope to form strong bonds with the families of each child.
