Commemoration Ceremony: To Honour Our Mistreated Ancestors

September 9 @ 10:30 am 12:00 pm

In the 1990s, ancestral remains disturbed by past development in Williams Lake were returned from the Royal BC Museum. Guided by Elders, Williams Lake First Nation ensured a respectful reburial process. Over the years, sites impacted included the Boitano Mall, Comer Hill Pub, Sikh Temple, Western Avenue Trailer Park, and the Highway 20 connector.
