Shaping the Future of WLFN Pow Wows

All WLFN community members are invited to participate in an important planning session focused on the 2026 Pow Wow season. This meeting will serve as a structured community consultation to gather broad input and ensure that future Pow Wow planning reflects the interests, priorities, and expectations of our community.
Key discussion topics will include:
• Budget considerations and overall financial planning
• Event format options: Competitive, Traditional, a combined approach, or an alternating model (Competition one year, Traditional the next)
• Volunteer roles, staffing needs, and honorarium structures
Community involvement is essential. Decisions regarding the 2026 Pow Wow season must be made promptly, and the feedback shared during this session will directly inform the direction we move forward with. All community members are encouraged to attend and contribute, regardless of prior involvement.
A newsletter will be sent out to all WLFN community members email addresses containing a survey to these topics. Please take the time to complete and submit the survey by January 8, as responses will help guide both the meeting discussions and final decisions. All completed surveys will be entered into a draw to win prizes.
