We’re back and the anticipation is higher than ever! the Speqpeq7úw̓i / Saskatoon Berry Picking Heavyweight Championship is happening!

Everybody is welcome (not just WLFN members).

Categories for golden age, adult, youth, and tiny tot, with big prizes awarded for:

Best berry picking hands
Most berries
Biggest berry
Most traditional picking bucket
Kids- best berry picking face

Registration starts at 8:30AM, and final weigh in’s begins at 1PM. Come by for as long as you like for some family friendly fun, and for a chance at winning some great prizes!

Check in at the Cketesméllcw – Clothide Thomas Cultural Centre, 189 Groundhog Drive, Williams Lake

Bagged breakfast snacks and refreshments available for all participants

Cold lunch will be available at 12pm

Berries collected will be transformed into delicious jams, jellies, teas, and more, for Elders and people-in-need in the community, and for traditional gift-giving at future cultural events. Let the berry picking begin!
