Join the 2026 WLFN Election Appeals Board
Registered WLFN members, are you interested in serving on the appeal board for the upcoming council election?
On August 25, 2026, Williams Lake First Nation (WLFN) will be holding an election for Chief and two members of Council.
Section 26 of the T’exelc Custom Election Code requires that an Appeal Board be established to hear and determine any appeals arising from the election.
The Appeal Board will consist of five members, at least three of whom must be WLFN Members. At least one member should be knowledgeable about election practices. Members of the Appeal Board will serve a one year term commencing on the day of the Election.
Council will be recommending individuals for appointment to the Appeal Board and is also inviting Members to recommend additional persons for consideration.

The deadline for submissions is May 15, 2026.
Following the close of the nomination period, a meeting of WLFN Members will be convened to consider and approve the appointment of the Appeal Board. Notice of the date, time, and location of this meeting will be provided to Members.
In accordance with the Election Code, this notice is also being provided to Elders and Youth groups to ensure broad participation in the selection of the Appeal Board.
