Important Notice: T’exelc Transfer Station Closure

The Sugarcane Transfer Station will permanently close on April 10, 2025.
We understand this is a change, and we want to ensure a smooth transition for our community. Williams Lake First Nation (WLFN) has a Solid Waste Management Law that outlines proper disposal requirements to keep our community clean and safe. Illegal dumping harms our land—please do your part in disposing of waste responsibly. You can review the law here (click link).
Alternative Disposal Options:
The 150 Mile and Williams Lake Transfer Stations are excellent resources available for all WLFN members, on and off reserve. These facilities are close by and offer proper waste disposal services.
Additional Large Item Pick-Up:
To help with this transition, we are offering additional large item pick-up services. Elders are encouraged to call for assistance if needed: 250-296-3507 Ext 179
This closure is part of our larger effort to beautify and transform our downtown core—thank you for your support in making our community a cleaner, healthier place.
