In Memoriam of Rick Gilbert

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Rick Gilbert, WLFN Councillor, friend, family member, and role model. Rick was surrounded by his family and close friends as he journeyed to the spirit world. We are forever grateful for his wisdom, kindness, humor, and dedication to his community. He will be missed by many, and we will continue his legacy for a strong and resilient community.

Please join us in drumming for Rick at Cariboo-Chilcotin Funeral Services, 180 Comer Street, on Monday, September 18th at 11am, prior to Rick’s cremation.

A service will be held on Thursday, October 5th at 11am, at the Sacred Heart Church. Following the service there will be a procession to the Chief William Pow Wow Arbor for a traditional ceremony, feast, and lahal.
