Virtual Engagement Session – Barkerville Gold Mines
On April 28th, 2022, at 5:30 PM, WLFN will be conducting a virtual engagement session with WLFN Members to discuss Barkerville Gold Mines’ Cariboo Gold Project.
Barkerville Gold Mines (BGM) operates the Bonanza Ledge Mine near Wells and the QR Mill approximately 58km southeast of Quesnel. The Cariboo Gold Project involves a proposal by BGM to develop a new underground mine site close to the Bonanza Ledge Mine and to complete upgrades to the existing processing facility at the QR Mill.
The Cariboo Gold Project is currently in the BC Environmental Assessment process, and BGM has been engaging with WLFN with respect to the Cariboo Gold Project for close to three years. BGM and WLFN have also been in discussions with respect to a Project Agreement. The Project Agreement would ensure WLFN has the opportunity to provide continuing input on the operation of the mine and that benefits flow to WLFN from the operation of the mine.
Then meeting of the 28th will be an important forum to discuss the status of the Cariboo Gold Project, the content of the proposed Project Agreement with WLFN, and to obtain feedback from WLFN Members. Your participation in this virtual Zoom meeting is greatly appreciated!
